About Shards of Ahune
The Shards of Ahune is part of the quest in Slave Pens that is finished by killing the boss. The quest rewards the players with one of the two optional Tabards.
Despite the fact that you can kill the boss on a daily basis, you can only finish this mission ONCE. Make sure you select the appropriate tabard...and that you are at least level 65.
You will not be able to obtain the Tabard of Summer Skies from Ice Shards and later the Tabard of Summer Flames from this Shards of Ahune. That quest was not available on Live servers, however it was available on the PTR.
You cannot own both tabards in patch 3.1 and for those who finished the task in 2008. (as of 2009). The quest item that is supposed to drop from the chest will not appear if you completed the mission last year (2008).
