About Fathom Ray Wing
Obtaining the Fathom Ray Wing begins a quest to turn the item in the same place as the one where you got your companion from. It drops mainly from Soundless and other rays in the Coral Forest.
The quest gives you a little gold, but more importantly it lets the player get 50 reputation with Neri or Akana, depending on the side of the conflict. Moreover, it is a criterion of the achievement – Give Me the Biggest Bag You've Got.
