Sale of boss items in Burning Crusade Classic breaks records
For some time now, the method of buying very rare items dropped from bosses has become popular on Burning Crusade Classic. In the gaming community, such practices are called GDKP.
What is GDKP and who uses it
More and more often you can meet raiding guilds and groups that use the gold-based loot system. GDKP is based on the auction of a rare item obtained for gold in the game. This amount is then shared between all the players who helped get the item. There is a lot of information on the web about two big deals that we wanted to mention.
A certain player named "Stormy" paid 600k for Ashes of Al'ar. A very rare mount that drops from the Kael'thas Sunstrider in Tempest Keep. This beautiful phoenix has less than 2% chance to appear after killing the boss. With such an amount for a mount, you can easily calculate that each member of the raid group got 25k gold!
Another huge amount was spent on the great weapon of illidan, which appeared on the game servers a few days ago. One of the Korean players paid 880k for Warglaive of Azzinoth. This amount is astronomical! But it shows that The Burning Crusade is a dozen or so years later, it can surprise many veterans.
You can read more about this in two threads on reddit - 600k for Ashes of Al'ar and Warglaive of Azzinoth.
