The Thick Slab of Bacon is the objective of the Slab of Bacon, Cooking World quest.

The item only drops when the player has the quest active. It can be obtained by killing the Well-Fed mobs and rare Baconlisk. It is an almost guaranteed drop, so no grinding is required to complete the quest.
