The Inky Black Potion is one of the cool items that are available at the Darkmoon Faire. It provides the player with many effects. The first is that this potion will turn every zone on Azeroth into night, regardless of what time of day it is. The impact lasts for two hours and then fades away.

Rona Greenteeth sells the Inky Black Potion for 3g33s33c and is happy to trade them to anybody, including alts. Just search for her wagon at 36.6, 58.6 or almost straight west from the first purple tent on the map. This won't completely darken the room, but the contrast will be significantly increased.

After using the Inky Black Potion You have a lovely "full moon" sort of night with enough light to see what you're doing. A completely dark sky with brilliant stars replaces the sky. There are no visible constellations, and Azeroth's moons are not visible in the night sky. This will have an impact on a variety of other sky effects, such as the Twisting Nether in Hellfire Peninsula, which will be replaced with this plain background. Many "outside" raids/dungeons, like the real world, end up in the dark. Even with max distance on full, the potion appears to draw back a lot of the "fog" that you get when attempting to view things from a long distance.

Notably, many of your pets, mounts, and weapons will glow in the dark, with some weapons, like torches or burning weapons, even casting light. As such we invite you and recommend you experiment with this and encourage you to share your experiences.
