Welcome Adventurer to our new take on the guide to First Aid in the Burning Crusade Classic. In this guide we are going to discuss the basics concerning the profession as well as the changes that were introduced in the new stage of the game. Moreover, we are going to provide you with a detailed breakdown of leveling process in Outland for this extremely useful and important secondary profession.

To clarify that last term we used, as you probably know, the professions in World of Warcraft are divided into primary professions, which you can choose two of, and secondary profession, which there are 3 of if we are talking about Classic. These professions are obviously first aid, cooking, and fishing.

First Aid, as you might imagine, is a profession that allows the players to create different types of bandages that allow them to heal themselves if given a moment. Moreover, it is also possible to create anti-venom that removes poison effects from players. Hence, as you might probably already imagine this is one of the most straightforward professions, since there aren’t any external recipes other than the ones you get from your trainer essentially.

Because of the abovementioned reasons First Aid is an extremely useful profession which can still be picked-up by everyone in Classic, unlike in Retail where is has been merged with Tailoring, thus making it a bit more of an exclusive product.

First Aid is mainly, although not only, useful to those involved in PvP, since it’s one of the ways anyone can heal themselves if given even a brief moment of time, even in combat. Although do note that taking damage will disrupt the process.

However, PvP is not the only environment where bandages can prove useful, occasionally or in emergencies, they can be used in dungeons and raids to conserve the healers or in other instances.

When it comes to using Bandages, do note that there is a cooldown of sorts, since anyone who has been bandaged receives a 60-second debuff – Recently Bandaged, which prevents them from receiving any more first aid. Moreover, players that are doing the bandaging have to remain motionless or the process will stop.

Do note that cancelling the process, be it because of damage, movement, or actions will still cause the debuff to be applied, preventing the player from resuming the process in any way for the next 60 seconds.

On the finishing note, it is recommended that you learn and possibly master all of the secondary professions since they are available to everyone and provide a lot of benefits for a rather small price, since they are on the whole quite simple to level-up. WoW TBC Classic First Aid leveling guide

To begin with this WoW TBC Classic First Aid guide, we have, as always, tried to make it the cheapest and fastest it could be, without compromising any of the aforementioned characteristics. Hence, it ought to be quite affordable to follow through it on most servers, even if you decide to buy the necessary materials from the Auction House. However, do mind the fact that server economies differ, so we cannot accommodate for every single one of them, as well as certain changes that are bound to occur at different stages of the game.

It is important to note that, as you may see, when you open the First Aid window, the recipes are going to be shown in different colors – orange, yellow, green, and gray. These indicate how likely you are to get a skill-up upon completing the recipe – from the first one which guarantees an increase in skill points, to the last one which means that you are not gaining any experience from crafting this recipe.

Generally, it is optimal to craft only orange recipes all the time. However, that is not possible, or even more so, not feasible or profitable. Hence, the numbers and amounts you see in this guide are not going to always be precise and you may need to get a few more reagents depending on how lucky you get.

Given that, as we have mentioned, First Aid is a quite simple profession when it comes to the number of recipes, which are quite few the leveling process is rather simple and requires only 3 recipes for the 300 to 375 part.

First of all, the beginning is going to be a little tedious, since the first Outland recipe – Manual: Netherweave Bandage, can only be learned once you have reached level 330 in First Aid. Hence, before then you are going to be making Heavy Runecloth Bandage for those first 30 points. Unfortunately, since this means taking this recipe long way into green, you are likely to need upwards of 200 Runecloth so brace yourself.

Afterwards it’s going to go much smoother, first after learning how to make Netherweave Bandage, you want to keep making them until 360. The whole process should not take more than 35-40 Netherweave Cloth, since each combine requires one piece of cloth.

Lastly, you will be making a few Heavy Netherweave Bandage to get the last 15 points, since this will be a more economical way, although each bandage requies 2 Netherweave Cloth. The recipe doesn’t turn green to the end so you should finish rather quickly.

After following this WoW TBC Classic First Aid guide, you are now a proud Master of First Aid and can now tend to even the most severe of wounds caused by these fel creatures of Outland. Good Luck!

First Aid Trainer

One of the important things to remember when it comes to professions is that they also have certain ranks, these are: Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert, and Artisan, and now the new Outland First Aid rank – Master, which is going to require visiting special trainers to obtain. This will be especially important if you want to follow our WoW TBC First Aid guide since during the leveling of the profession you do need to upgrade these ranks in order to be able to gain more skill levels:

The new trainers added in the Burning Crusade are:

• Nus, who is a trainer in Exodar at 39.6, 22.6
• Alestus, who can be seen in Silvermoon City at 77.8, 70.4
• Mildred Fletcher, who is a neutral trainer in Outland, who works for lower-level first aid, in Shattrath, at 66.8, 13.8

Those are three more trainers that are going to help you until Expert First Aid. To get over that step you are still going to need to purchase Expert First Aid - Under Wraps that is sold by:

• Deneb Walker, who can be found in Stromgrade Keep in Arathi Highlands by the chapel if you are with the Alliance
• Balai Lok’Wein, if you are part of the Horde, who can be seen in Brackenwall Village in Dustwallow Marsh, he usually hangs around Caravans

In the same way, Artisan First Aid is also not acquired from a trainer, but rather by doing a quest, either Alliance Trauma or Horde Trauma, which eventually takes you to do a Triage quest that requires you to save patients of different levels of injury, if you make correct decisions and heal them in order from Critically Injured and Badly Injured to Injured you will make quick work of it and get your new level. Do note that this quest can be re-taken unlimited number of times, so don’t feel to pressured.

Now, lastly, to get to the master level in Outland you are going to need to first get a book – Master First Aid - Doctor in the House and get the recipes – Manual: Netherweave Bandage and Manual: Heavy Netherweave Bandage. All of the aforementioned items can be obtained from one of those two vendors:

• Burko, who is a medic working for the Alliance, located in Temple of Telhamat in Hellfire Peninsula at 22.4, 39.2
• Aresella, for those players affiliated with the Horde, who can be found in Falcon Watch in Hellfire Peninsula at 26.2, 62.0
