Shadowlands Legendary Item

In World of Warcraft, developers have been trying to diversify the gameplay and balance of classes for several years. A big change came with the Legion expansion when weapons of legend were introduced. They were powerful weapons that you could develop and adjust to the style of your game. This system was quite warmly welcomed by World of Warcraft players, which is why in the next expansion we received the Heart of Azeroth – an artifact medallion which works similarly to the legendary items that had been introduced previously.

In World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, after gathering experience and listening to the voices of the game community, the developers again decided to modify the system related to the legendary items. This time, the player can choose what equipment to create – whether it is shoulder straps, or perhaps a helmet. This change was made to the liking of the WoW community. Of course, there have already been many articles that recommend what gear should be exchanged for a legend. In this guide, however, we will focus on information about acquiring or creating legendary items in the Shadowlands expansion.

The entire creation process takes place in Torghast. There is the NPC Runecarwer for which we perform several quests to unlock access to the creation of legendary items.

Basic assumptions:

• Choose what item to create
• Choose the legendary power you want it to have
• Choose what additional statistics you want it to have

Items required for crafting legendary items:

• Memory of the Runecarver - a recipe that we receive during the campaign execution
• Crafted from a profession (leatherworking, blacksmithing, etc.) with the appropriate level
• 2x Missive of ... - items available from inscriptions that will add to our legend the appropriate statistics (strength, critical damage etc.)
• The right amount of Soul Ash - they fall out of the last layers of wings of Torghast

The legendary items that we can craft in Shadowlands expansion have four levels. It is a huge advantage that if you have the right amount of Soul Ash, you can create a max level item or upgrade it from a lower directly to the max level from the very beginning.

Creating a legendary item in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is not, however as easy as it may seem. To obtain an item later to be upgraded, you need to spend a lot of gold, and the higher the level of the item you want to get, the higher the price. Of course, if you have the right profession such as: Jewelcrafting, Blacksmithing, Leatherworking or Tailoring, you can create an item yourself - but it requires both a lot of work and obtaining products which o some servers are traded for high prices.

In addition, there are restrictions related to Soul Ash, which can be obtained in a limited amount per week. Currently, with each reset we can do two wings at the maximum level so you can be rewarded with 1140 Soul Ash.

Are legendary items worth it?

The legend system in Shadowlands has changed a lot. The main problem for players is to get items that were free in the previous extensions, and now their prices reach up to several hundred thousand gold. However, we advise you to get a legendary item as soon as possible, since it can significantly increase our statistics. Even its weaker versions can be better than items dropping from raids or dungeons.
